Edo Tokyo Kirari highlights and promotes Tokyo’s brilliant companies with elaborate techniques and products that have been handed down for a long time. With the concept “Old meets New”, Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been carefully selected 12 enterprises to exhibit at Maison & Objet in Paris. Each company showcases a specific craft, with a contemporary approach that fulfill modern lifestyle needs.

Makino Urushi Design
Kyoto-based workshop, specialized in Urushi, the Japanese traditional lacquering know-how that has been used for centuries in temples and shrines ornamental works. Makino's lacquer finish can be applied on multiple objects and furniture for high-end interior decoration.
