We are excited to announce an upcoming event in collaboration with our partner organization, MEISTERSTRASSE from Austria, to showcase exquisite craftworks from both Austria and Japan. The event will take place at two locations in conjunction with the Osaka-Kansai Expo in April!
1) April 24th (Thursday) – Kyoto Venue:
The event will be held at the Nishikawa residence (Nishikawa Seizaburo Shoten / NISHIKAWA JAPAN), a masterpiece of registered national cultural heritage, featuring a unique blend of traditional Japanese and Western-style architecture and garden. This stunning venue, which is typically not open to the public, will offer a rare opportunity to experience the beauty of craftsmanship from both countries in an extraordinary setting. The space also includes a showroom designed under the supervision of renowned architect Kengo Kuma.
2) April 26th (Saturday) – Osaka Expo Venue:
2:00 PM: A special talk show with former footballer and current global ambassador for Japanese culture, including sake, Hidetoshi Nakata. The event will be held at the Signature Pavilion (Theme Week Studio) and also broadcasted online.
6:00 PM: A special event at the Austria Pavilion under the theme "Composing the Future," where you can enjoy a fusion of craftsmanship, music, food, and digital art from both countries.
Please note that advance reservations are required for both events (April 24th and 26th). For further details, please refer to the PDF .
We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting and inspiring event!
